Job Summary:
The Learning Advisor is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive learning and development programs to enhance employee skills, performance, and organizational effectiveness. This role involves conducting thorough training needs assessments, developing curriculum and training materials, and delivering engaging and impactful training sessions. The Learning Advisor collaborates with department heads to identify opportunities for skill development, ensuring that all training initiatives align with broader organizational goals and priorities.
In addition to program design and delivery, the Learning Advisor will be responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of training programs, gathering feedback, and recommending improvements. Staying updated on industry trends, learning technologies, and best practices is crucial to ensure the continuous evolution of the learning function within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learning Needs Analysis:
Conduct regular assessments in collaboration with business heads and managers to identify the learning and development needs of employees at all levels. Develop customized learning solutions based on these assessments to bridge skill gaps and improve performance. - Curriculum & Content Development:
Design, develop, and update curriculum, training programs, and materials (e.g., presentations, workbooks, eLearning modules) that are aligned with organizational and business objectives. - Learning Delivery:
Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions. Ensure that training is practical, relevant, and aligned with organizational goals, and employ various delivery methods, such as in-person, virtual, and hybrid models. - Program Evaluation & Monitoring:
Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs by gathering feedback, tracking learner progress, and analysing performance metrics. Use insights to make data-driven improvements and optimize training initiatives. - Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with senior leaders, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that learning programs meet the specific needs of departments and align with the strategic objectives of the organization. - Learning Technologies & Tools:
Leverage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies to track employee participation, assess learning outcomes, and streamline the delivery of online learning programs. - Knowledge Sharing & Best Practices:
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in learning and development. Share insights with the organization to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. - Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of training activities, monitor participation rates, and prepare reports on the effectiveness and impact of learning programs for senior leadership. - Continuous Improvement:
Continuously improve training materials and methodologies based on feedback and lessons learned. Incorporate innovative learning approaches, including blended learning, microlearning, and gamification, where appropriate.
Requirements:
High attention to detail with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
3-5 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years focused specifically on learning or capability development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and engaging training content.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
Analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and suggest improvements.
